Liu got both of her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in civil engineering from the top ranking engineering school, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After college, she started working for the top 3 company in the industry and was involved in several big projects including Washington D.C. Airport. she is specialized in the design, construction and cost estimation of various buildings.​
